October is here and soon we will begin seeing the beautiful holiday lights that illuminate our community. Holiday lighting can transform your home into a festive wonderland. It may be early in the season but that allows you to enjoy the festive atmosphere for a longer period. Southwest Lighting Systems has been in the outdoor lighting industry for over 35 years, and we are ready to transform your home into a festive wonderland.
Over the years, holiday lighting has evolved, and we are beginning to see certain trends that enhance the overall holiday lighting experience.
Here are five Christmas lighting trends to look out for this Holiday Season:
- Warm White LEDs: Soft, warm white lights continue to grow in popularity, providing a traditional holiday look. These warm lights allow you to create a welcoming atmosphere for your guest and they add a sense of coziness to your home.
- Incorporating Décor: Incorporating décor into your holiday lighting can create an eye-catching appearance. Here are some examples of décor to consider: incorporating wreaths and trees. Illuminating elements like these enhance your display and add visual interest.
- The Classic Candy Cane Look: The “Candy Cane” look provides your home with a fun look. The bright white and red lights creates a cheerful and vibrant atmosphere. It adds a playful and whimsical touch to your home.
- Smart Lighting: With the increase in technology, smart holiday lighting is becoming more prevalent. Smart bulbs can be controlled via apps, allowing you to customize your lighting design from your smartphone. Giving you options for customization of colors, patterns, and timing.
- Projection Lighting: Projection lights that display festive images or patterns on your home’s exterior are becoming increasingly popular. These lights create a stunning visual effect with minimal effort, which allows you to transform your space into a holiday wonderland.
The Holiday Lighting Process
Southwest Lighting Systems is ready to create these trends on your home. We have made the lighting process as simple as it can be. We start off by sending a lighting estimator out to your home. The estimator will assess your home and provide recommendations. 24-48 hours after the appointment, you’ll receive a quote with the estimate. Once the estimate is approved, we will get you on our schedule and start the install.

Southwest Lighting Systems will handle all of the installation and removing of the lighting, as well as storing the lights during the off-season. Additionally, the lighting comes with a warranty, and we will replace any defective bulbs at no extra cost. *Note: We will only be installing lighting provided by Southwest Lighting Systems, we will not install lights that are not ours.* Check out our Holiday lighting page to learn more!
